What we do
Birmingham Widening Access to Medical Sciences (BWAMS) is a student society at the University of Birmingham. We are a group of health science students who work to widen participation in Medicine and other healthcare degrees. Our aim is to support applications to healthcare degrees from young achievers in state schools who have the academic ability but may lack the motivation, confidence or knowledge to apply.
As BWAMS continues to grow, our work evolves
See below for our regular activities

BWAMS strives to support students from underrepresented backgrounds in higher education. Mentoring and events such as our Research Rodeo offer healthcare students continued support
